All new Residence Hall students will be invited to a ResHall Accepted Student Day.

This ResHall Accepted Student Day is convenient way to accomplish the important enrollment steps — all in one trip! During this program, there are wonderful information sessions for parents, guardians, and other supporters, as well as an opportunity for students to stay overnight in the Residence Halls. 

Summer 2024 ResHall Accepted Student Days

Students will be invited to one of the sessions below. We will gladly change your session date as requested.

  • July 1 and 2
  • July 17 and 18
  • August 5 and 6

Students accepted to the College after the last ResHall Accepted Student Day or students who have summer transportation issues that prevent them from attending their ResHall Accepted Student Day will have an opportunity to take a placement test, if needed, and schedule classes virtually or once they arrive to the Residence Halls for the semester.

Anticipated ResHall Accepted Student Day schedule of events:

For Students:

Day 1
  • 2-4 p.m.: Arrival
  • 4-5 p.m.: Welcome and campus tour
  • 5-6 p.m.: Dinner
  • 6-9 p.m.: Introduction to College Life
  • 9-11 p.m.: Events, including volleyball, video games, game room activities, and more
Day 2
  • 8:30-9 a.m.: Breakfast
  • 9-11 a.m.: MVCC Connections Fair, where you can meet your Student Support Advisor, Academic Dean, and many other campus partners

For Parents/Guardians and Other Supporters:

Day 1
  • 4-5 p.m.: Welcome and campus tour
  • 5-6 p.m.: Dinner
  • 6-8:30 p.m.: Parents & Guardians and Other Supporters Information Session, where you can learn about MVCC Academics, Public Safety, Holistic Student Supports, and more
Day 2
  • 8:30-9 a.m.: Breakfast
  • 9-10 a.m.: Student Support and Experience Overview, Learning Commons tour, and Financial Aid Workshop
  • 10-11:30 a.m.: MVCC Connections Fair, where you can meet your student's Academic Dean, Student Support Advisor, and many other campus partners

A ResHall Accepted Student Day is encouraged, but not required. Students choosing to complete these steps on their own should follow the Steps to Enroll.
