Steps to Enroll at MVCC

After completing your application and submitting all the necessary paperwork for admission to MVCC, your application will be reviewed by our Admissions staff and you will be notified in a timely manner about your acceptance. Once you are accepted to MVCC, please follow these steps to complete your enrollment:

Please complete the Admissions Reservation Form online at mvcc.edu/arf or return the paper copy found in the acceptance packet you received in the mail. This form serves as a free admissions deposit and allows us to prepare your records, including your MVCC email account.

You can apply for financial aid for the upcoming academic year starting in December 2023. Tax information is vital to the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Apply today at studentaid.gov and hesc.ny.gov.

All students must comply with this requirement, as it is a New York State Law. You will need to show documented proof of receiving immunizations for Measles, Mumps and Rubella, and you are required to complete the Meningitis Response portion of the Health Form. You can obtain your records at your primary care physician or high school.

The next step is for the College to determine if you need to take a placement test or are ready to schedule. Students needing a test will receive a text message and/or email with instructions. Those who are exempted or waived from testing will receive an email/text message about completing your next steps. For more information, call 315-731-5710 or email accepted@mvcc.edu.

The placement test is a way to help us make sure you are placed into the appropriate-level math and English courses so you can get a strong start in your studies. If you need special accommodations due to a disability, please contact the Office of Accessibility Resources. Learn more about placement testing at mvcc.edu/placement.

Your Student Support Advisor (SSA), who is assigned to you based on your major, will be your personal guide through your next enrollment steps, and will provide advisement and support to help you stay on track to reach your educational goals.
