Job Descriptions

 

College Assistant Position (CA)

  • For current 12th graders or enrolled college students 
  • Must be a role model and a team player
  • Must be good with task management and flexible
  • Should be able to interact and communicate with students in an appropriate manner
  • Must follow the Math Corps rules and regulations

College Instructor (CI)

  • For currently enrolled college students, typically in a STEM major
  • Should be a role model and a team player
  • Should have great leadership skills and the ability to multitask
  • Should excel in Mathematics
  • Should be able to interact and communicate with students in an appropriate manner
  • Must follow the Math Corps rules and regulations

Grade Supervisor

  • For current college students with an associate degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Should have exceptional responsibility and leadership skills
  • Should excel in mathematics, organized, and experienced with Excel spreadsheets
  • Should be a role model, have faith and love kids
  • Should be able to interact and communicate with students in an appropriate manner
  • Should be outspoken and able to present in front of a crowd
  • Must follow the Math Corps rules and regulations

Dean of Students:

  • For current secondary teacher or administrator with a bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
  • Should have exceptional responsibility and leadership skills
  • Should be a role model, build positive relationships, have faith, and love kids
  • Should be able to handle student disciplinary concerns with compassion and professionalism
  • Should have strong communication skills with students, fellow staff, and families
  • Should be outspoken and able to present in front of a crowd
  • Must follow the Math Corps rules and regulations

Math Teacher

  • For current secondary Math Teachers
  • Should have a strong understanding of middle school, high school, and college level mathematics 
  • Should be able to help develop curriculum that incorporates new and relevant topics in STEM
  • Should be a role model and a team player
  • Should have great leadership skills and the ability to multitask
  • Should be able to interact and communicate with students in an appropriate manner
  • Must follow the Math Corps rules and regulations
