Online Orientation
We created our online orientation to help make a smooth transition to college. Modules consist of information and activities centered around exploring academic and career goals, understanding college expectations, tools to be successful, ways to engage with the campus community, and getting familiar with campus technology.
What to Expect
Once you have been accepted to MVCC, you can log in and complete your Online Orientation. The online orientation should take approximately 1 hour to complete. If you need to take a break, your progress is automatically saved and you are brought back to where you left off when you return.
Log-On Information
Students will access online orientation by signing on with your MVCC Student Email
credentials.
Your Username: Your first initial, last name, two digit day of birth @student.mvcc.edu
Example : Mo Hawk born on January 2, 2001 would have a username of mhawk02@student.mvcc.edu
Your Password: Last four digits of your Social Security Number or the last four digits
of your MVCC Student ID number (M-number)

We have developed the online orientation to assist students in having a successful transition to MVCC. Whether you just graduated high school or are coming back from a long hiatus, orientation will help you get familiar with college expectations, the technology we use, and help you make sure you chose the right major/career path. As a perk, for completing orientation, you will be able to meet with your advisor and schedule classes.
Students will access online orientation by signing on with your MVCC Student Email credentials.

If this does not work, contact the IT Help Desk at 315-731-5711 for assistance fixing the problem.
Congratulations! You are now ready to move onto your next enrollment step. Please check your MVCC Student Email for your next step which will include either taking a MVCC placement test or scheduling a New Student Appointment. This may take approximately 2 -3 business days to be notified.
All enrollment communications will be sent to your MVCC Student Email after orientation is completed. Make sure to check regularly.

There are a total of eight modules. Students will know that they are finished when they have completed the New Student Survey and seen the Closing video of Orientation.
Guest Access to Orientation is available for parents and perspective students. It
does not have full access to the New Student Orientation.
Accepted students should **NOT** complete the Guest Orientation. You will not be able to move forward in your enrollment steps unless you log into
the Student Orientation profile.
