We're excited to have you join us! As you prepare for your first semester, here are two important steps to get started:

Submit Your FAFSA for 2026-2027

While you wait for Orientation to open, now is the perfect time to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Submitting your FAFSA early ensures you're considered for the maximum amount of financial aid available. To get started, visit the FAFSA website

Complete Your Online Orientation (coming soon!)

All new students are required to complete Online Orientation before scheduling classes. Orientation will help you get familiar with campus resources, academic expectations, and student support services. Details and access will be sent to your email soon — stay tuned!

Information about Online Orientation

Online Orientation is designed to help you make a smooth transition to college. Modules consist of information and activities centered around:

  • Exploring academic and career goals
  • Understanding college expectations and terminology
  • Tools and offices to help you be successful
  • Ways to engage with the campus community
  • Familiarizing you with MVCC technology  

What to expect:

Online Orientation should take approximately one hour to complete.

  • Breaks are allowed if you cannot finish in one session.
  • Progress is automatically saved.
  • Completion of Online Orientation is required.
  • Within two to three business days of completing Online Orientation, you will receive an email in your MVCC Student Email with information about your next steps.

Log-on information:

To access Online Orientation, sign on with your MVCC Student Email credentials:

  • Use the "Student Login" to access Online Orientation
  • Your Username: Your first initial, last name, two-digit day of birth @student.mvcc.edu (Example: Mo Hawk, born on January 2, 2001, would have a username of mhawk02@student.mvcc.edu)
    Your Password: Last four digits of your Social Security Number or the last four digits of your MVCC Student ID number (M-number)
