Information for students transferring to MVCC
Applicants transferring to MVCC from other regionally accredited institutions or providing documentation of appropriate instruction may receive whole or partial credit for college courses completed.

Students can also use Transferology, offered by CollegeSource. This allows students to put in multiple courses and see how they may best transfer to various intuitions, including MVCC. Account set-up and login required.
Transfer credit transcripts
If you would like to transfer credits earned at another college or university to MVCC, you must provide official transcripts of all completed coursework to the MVCC Admissions Office for transfer credit to be applied. Contact each of your previously attended colleges/universities to request an official transcript. Please note that only official transcripts from each prior college will be used for transfer evaluation. Click here for more information on Credit Evaluations.
If no transfer credit is being requested and/or transcripts are not available, you still must report yourself as a transfer for financial aid purposes.
If you have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and are applying for a degree outside of our healthcare programs (Health Information Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology), you do not need to supply a copy of your high school transcript, diploma, or GED, but must list the following on your application: High school name, address, and graduation date, or GED and completion date. Students applying for healthcare programs must submit an official and final high school transcript, diploma, or GED.
