Post on our Job Board

Through an online tool called Handshake employers can create a free company profile to post open positions, allow students to learn more about them, search posted student resumes, and more.

Please contact the Career Development Center at 315-731-5847 or careerdevelopment@mvcc.edu for assistance with creating an account or posting an opportunity.

*We evaluate and approve or reject job postings based on our posting policy. Please contact our office with any questions.

Recruit On-Campus

Our On-Campus Recruitment program allows interested employers the opportunity to set up an informational table in our Academic Building lobby on the Utica Campus or Plumley Complex lobby on our Rome Campus and engage with students, faculty, and staff. Many of our students will stop by to learn more about employers and the different career opportunities they have to offer.

Career Fairs

We host career fairs for graduating students by Academic School in the spring of each year. Invitations are sent in January to employers who have previously posted positions in Handshake and/or have participated in past recruiting or career fair events. If you'd like to participate in a career fair, please contact us at 315-731-5847 or careerdevelopment@mvcc.edu.

Campus Visits

In collaboration with our Academic Schools, we are able to offer employers the opportunity to visit campus, tour our facilities, meet faculty, and present to students in a specific program.

Corporate Training

MVCC's Corporate and Community Education Department (CCED) can provide customized training and credit-bearing courses to train and retrain workers at any level. Our services are available at client training sites, online, and on-campus.

College in the Workplace

MVCC’s College in the Workplace offers the opportunity for busy adult learners to begin a certificate or degree program in a place most convenient to them — their workplace. From Business Administration to Culinary Arts Management to Carpentry and Masonry, our programs will fit your needs or the needs of your employees and your company. A team will conduct an assessment to set priorities and explore all available course and degree options.

Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE)

Launched in 2018 as a partnership between Leadership Mohawk Valley and MVCC, the Center for Leadership Excellence blends expertise, programs, and resources into an innovative and high-impact center to address the region’s need for effective, equipped, and engaged community leaders. This transformative project is a robust, multi-strand powerhouse of leadership trainings that serves a diverse group of constituents — women, minorities, small business managers, and more — annually. In addition to its various training opportunities, CLE will act as a database resource for board placement considerations and to facilitate a regional leadership pipeline.

Advanced Institute for Manufacturing (AIM)
