Step 1:
To find out which Federal VA Educational Benefits program(s) you qualify for, visit va.gov/education.
Step 2:
Once you have determined your VA Educational Benefit, apply for your benefits at va.gov/education/how-to-apply.
*The VA will mail you a Certificate of Eligibility to the address you put in the application. Wait time can be up to six weeks.
Step 3:
Submit proper documentation to the MVCC Veterans Education Services office.
- Post 9/11 GI Bill® Active Duty: Certificate of Eligibility
- Post 9/11 GI Bill® Veteran: Certificate of Eligibility, DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Copy
- Post 9/11 GI Bill® Transfer of Entitlement: Certificate of Eligibility
- Vocational Rehabilitation: VA FORM 28-1905, DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Copy
- Dependents Educational Assistance: Certificate of Eligibility
- Montgomery GI Bill® - Active Duty: Certificate of Eligibility, DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Copy
- Montgomery GI Bill® - Selected Reserve: Certificate of Eligibility, Notice of Basic Eligibility (DD 2384-1)
Step 4:
Apply to the College.
Step 5:
Connect with the Veterans Education Services office at vets@mvcc.edu to continue the enrollment process.
