Academic Integrity Review Appeals Process
Students are afforded the right to due process to include appeals to violations of the Academic Integrity Policy. There are several levels that make up the student appeal process, providing opportunities for students to make a statement regarding the violation of the academic integrity policy and/or provide evidence in support of their stance. See Academic Integrity Policy.
Students may appeal for the following reasons:

- New information that is relevant to the alleged violation and was discovered during the appeal process, which could not reasonably have been identified prior the Academic Integrity Review, and which, if known earlier, would likely have had a significant bearing on the outcome of the Review.
- “After acquired” information that is relevant to the alleged violation (information that was discovered only after the conclusion of the Academic Integrity Review, could not reasonably have been discovered prior to or during the hearing, and which, if previously known, would have had a significant bearing on the outcome of the Review.
Students who have been assigned mandatory Academic Integrity Policy Review modules, who wish to appeal, are not required to complete the training until the appeal process has been completed. During the appeals process, the student’s email will be the official form of communication during the appeal process.
