Mohawk Valley Community College and The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) will host the inaugural Salute to Manufacturing event during the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week, Nov. 17-23, 2024.
Salute to Manufacturing will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Schafer Theater, located within Francis A. Wilcox Hall, at MVCC's Utica Campus.
The event will highlight the power of talent development, honoring companies that hosted facility tours for students during Manufacturing Month in October and the graduates of the Real Life Rosies and Advance 2 Apprenticeship pre-apprenticeship programs. MACNY member companies also will be recognized for their Registered Apprenticeship Program milestones.
Awards will be presented to extraordinary individuals and companies in the following categories: Real Life Rosies Champion, Advance 2 Apprenticeship Champion, Unsung Hero, Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Trailblazer, Workforce Development Excellence, and Manufacturing and Technology Leadership. Legacy Awards will celebrate companies for their Registered Apprenticeship Program milestones.
